General
Any move that endangers the opponent’s life or could cause injury is illegal. It is illegal to hit your opponent with your hands, elbows, knees, and head. Kicking is also prohibited unless performing a foot sweep. It is illegal to touch the face below the eyebrows and above the chin. Any twisting of body parts is prohibited.You are not allowed to grasp your opponent’s uniform.Arm bars, and twisting the arm past 90 degrees is illegal.Any neck of head locks, as well as any move that puts stress on the opponent’s spinal column is illegal. if the offensive wrestler that applies the illegal hold injures their opponent, they will be disqualified from the tournament. Unsportsmanlike conduct towards the opponent, their coach, or any of the officials is discouraged.
Illegal Techniques
Figure Four: Applying the figure four on the head or the body is illegal and will result in disqualification from the tournament. If applied to the leg or the arm, the referee will immediately stop the action.
Standing Reverse-Waist Hold: This move is illegal because it could transform into a pike position where the offensive wrestler is holding the opponent with their head pointing down to the mat and their legs up in the air. The referee will stop the action, but no penalties will be given.
Full Nelson: The full nelson, where both hands are under the shoulders and on the head is strictly prohibited. If there was potential for injury the referee would stop the bout. As well as the full and double nelson, the three quarter nelson is also prohibited.
Bridge position: If your opponent is in a bridge position, it is prohibited to lift them up and throw them down onto the mat. The bridge must be forced down.
Ankle trapped to outside: It is illegal to force the ankle outside of the knee joint in par terre position. (From the behind, forcing the ankle to the outside if the hip.)
Double leg hook to prevent throw: Hooking your legs around your opponent's is dangerous, but not illegal. The bout will be stopped, but no cautions will be given out.
Reverse leg ride (East German leg ride): This leg ride traps both the opponent's upper and lower leg, and puts pressure on the knee joint. it is considered dangerous and therefor illegal.

In greco-roman wrestling it is prohibited to grasp below the hips. Any offensive action using the legs to push or trip or sweep is not allowed.
