Two on One
A two on one is a very versatile technique since it can be use both offensively and defensively. It also has a huge range of attacks that can be done off of it.
Two on one: A two on one is when you have control of your opponent’s one arm with both of yours. To get it from a tied up position you want to grab their wrist with your opposite hand and pull that off while shrugging the shoulder. You then pull that in close to you and with the other hand grab their arm above the elbow. Make sure to keep your head on the inside of theirs. Place the top of your head in their temple. Be in very good wrestling stance while doing this. Be conscious that they are in front of you when you have the two on one.
Single leg: You can very easily attack a single leg with the two on one since you’re already inside and have an angle created. From the two on one all you do is pull their hand down to their knee and pick up the leg in a basic single. When you do this, make sure to push into them while picking the leg up. It’s important because it makes the move a lot easier to do. To find out how to finish this move, you could read about the single leg take down in the section of inside leg attacks.
Inside trip/ankle pick: Say that they know you are going to attack a single and they step back slightly so that you can’t get it. This opens up a whole new move for you. All you have to do for this move is to move in close to them so that your hip is in front and touching their hip, while you kick back their leg. From there you take the hand that’s on the wrist and you scoop up the ankle that’s closest to you (not the leg you kicked back). If they take a huge step back the kick is not necessary, you can just go straight to the ankle pick. This move also requires you to really push into them, same as the single.
Fireman’s: Suppose they know both of those move’s and they try to defend them both by squaring up on you, while you still have the two on one. That’s great because now all you do is attack a fireman’s. The way to do that is to let go of the wrist, while keeping the arm above the elbow really tight. You then attack the leg that you would normally attack on a single with a move that looks something like a high crotch. You should end up on both of your knees at this point. From here you then lean to side of where their head is and throw the arm that’s holding the leg. Make sure to let go of the leg after you finish it, or else you’ll end up in a worse position than them.
If you didn’t keep the arm tight enough for this move, you can easily go to a high crotch.
If they move the leg you want to attack back, you can still do it on the leg that’s closest to you.
If they sprawl out on you all you do is put your head in their ribs and push them while pulling their arm and leg close to you.
